About Ingrid

Ingrid is a registered psychologist with a particular interest in treating clients with trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, addiction and borderline personality disorder. She is specifically interested in clients who present with childhood trauma and utilises her knowledge of attachment styles and inner child work to help clients gain deeper understanding of themselves and reshape dysfunctional beliefs which are holding them back.

Ingrid has worked with teenagers and adults from various backgrounds in the community, forensic settings, and private practice, with a particular focus on those who exhibit complex and challenging behaviours. Her extensive overseas travel and volunteer work with Syrian refugees in Türkiye has also provided her with experience interacting with diverse groups of people, and she has a particular interest in refugee mental health.

The environment Ingrid creates in therapy is compassionate, animated and genuine. She enjoys building long-lasting and meaningful connections with clients, knowing that this can be a catalyst for a successful experience in therapy. Her approach to therapy can be described as holistic and integrative, tailored to the needs of the client. She prioritises assessing individuals thoroughly in order to tailor a treatment plan that is based on their individual needs. She encourages her clients to build a collaborative therapeutic relationship, where the client has the central role.

Ingrid has experience using a range of therapeutic styles including Attachment-Based psychology, Schema Therapy, and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
